PORTFOLIO The books I have worked on have been published by a variety of publishers, Allyn & Bacon, BookSurge, CRC Press, Elsevier, Kendall/Hunt, Mansell, Peter Lang, Prentice Hall and Scarecrow Press, and many more. The works below are in chronological order, the most current being first. Click on the thumbnail image in order to view sample pages I have chosen from each book. In addition, I have been designing logos and scrapbooks. While designing these images was for my personal projects, I would welcome the opportunity to design a logo or personal project for you as well. The images can be viewed below the list of books. I will continue to add more as I complete them. Download Adobe Reader
Rochelle Owens takes you back to the 1970s in this ingenious and provocative novel written in the 70s about the journeys of a collection of intriguing and uniquely compelling characters towards personal satisfaction and fulfillment. The character of Chucky reaches truly heroic proportions. A penetrating chain letter from the heart. A wonderful mixture of anger, madness, regret and self-incriminating introspection. A rare and daring dramatic imagination. New York Times Web banner and badge I designed in Adobe Illustrator using two vector graphic images from iStockhoto. Images were edited, cut and pasted, and cropped to create the final banner and badge for Heather Price's website, Free Skin Care Help (2009). The sample pages include both the front and back cover, the title page, table of contents (which was generated using Microsoft Office Word), and the many different styles I used. This particular book contains references and many html links, which required the use of the Chicago Manual of Style. Extensive editing was also done not only for correct grammar and punctuation, but also to insure that the content was easy to read requiring me to rewrite some of the sentences and paragraphs. Die Kindsmörderin, Helga Stipa Madland, BookSurge Publications, 2008 I designed the book jacket and formatted the contents. I received the file, in German, electronically. The book was completed and submitted to BookSurge for printing. Oklahoma Geology Activity Sheets for Earth-Science Teachers and Students, James R. Chaplin, Oklahoma Geological Survey, 2003 "The primary objective of this resource is to expose more teachers and students to the earth science/geology· of Oklahoma through educational activities that include crossword puzzles, word searches, word unscrambles, geodetective clues, and the matching of clues with pictures." I handtyped this 203 page booklet using Microsoft Word. The crossword puzzles were designed using tables, requiring meticulous adjustments for the placement of the numbers, and the letters in the answer sheets. International Biographical Directory of National Archivists, Documentalists and Librarians, Jeffrey M. Wilhite, Todd Kosmerick, and Laurie Scrivener, Rowman & Littlefield, 2000 I designed a two-page form, mailed them to 213 countries from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, designed the format for the book, and typed the information from the forms. In addition to this one, I also worked on the 1997 edition. Both books were completely retyped as the format and content had changed within a three-year span.
Analytical Fluid Dynamics, 2nd Edition, George Emanuel, CRC Press, 2000. The contents of this book was typed, including all equations and tables.
